Youtube ohne Warner Music

Mal wieder gab es eine Klage der Musikindustrie gegen die Verbreitung von Musik im Internet. Ja, ich weiß das ganze ist mittlerweile reichlich unspektakulär geworden, ich will auch gar nicht lang auf die Klage eingehen, sondern vielmehr zeigen, was ich gerade bei Moby gelesen habe.

Mit dem richterlichen Entscheid hat Warner es nun erzwungen das Youtube all die Musikvideos entfernen muss die von bei Warner unter Vertrag stehenden Künstlern sind. Nun ist auch Moby einer dieser Künstler. Was er von diesem Urteil hält will ich einfach mal wörtlich zitieren und euch damit den interessanten Post in seinem Blog empfehlen.

„can i please ask that warners not ask youtube to remove my videos? i'm perfectly happy for my videos to be on youtube, whether i'm getting paid for them or not. if they're on youtube people will see them. if they're not on youtube they'll sit in a vault and be seen by no one. so why not put them on youtube where at least people can watch them if they so choose? isn't the point of making music and music videos that people will hopefully listen to and watch what you've created?“
